Test of the KTH Wave Buoy

Right after the 25 pax Raft recovery test we had the opportunity to test a mobile wave buoy conceived by Professor Jakob Kuttenkeuler of the KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. In the slacking wind about 15 minutes after the raft recovery, the buoy reported a significant wave hight of 2,49 m, with a maximum of 3,92 m.

The buoy was monitored by Andreas Långström of SSPA.

In future tests we hope to place the buoy inside the full turn to evaluate how efficient different approaches to the method is at calming the seas.
